My Little Pony Fuse Beads: 12+ Magical Designs to Bead Your Way Through Ponyville

Hi, it’s Lea! Today we’re setting off for Equestria: I’ve rounded up a whole little world of ponies to bead peg by peg. My kids are obsessed with My Little Pony, and honestly, so am I – between the rainbow manes and dreaming up cutie marks, it’s a dream theme for a creative afternoon. I dug through my inspiration folders and found some gorgeous fan creations out there, which I’m sharing with you here (crediting every source, of course). As a little bonus, I even whipped up two homemade grid patterns for the most iconic cutie marks. Ready to grab your beads? Let’s go!

The Ponyville gang, my fuse bead favourites

Let’s start with the main crew: the six friends whose adventures have filled countless cartoon afternoons at our place. Each one has her own distinct palette, which makes for a really fun bead sorting exercise with the kids.

Twilight Sparkle

Our studious magician-turned-princess translates beautifully into beads, with her rich purple and starry mane. I love this rounded, charming take on her.

Rainbow Dash

Rarity

The group’s resident fashionista, always immaculate, shows off her instantly recognisable pale purple coat here. A great chance to talk colour gradients with the kids.

And to close things out gently, the shyest of the ponies, in her soft pastel yellow. A nicely rounded design to wrap up this first line-up.

Spike and the princesses: the sidekicks we love to bead too

My Little Pony isn’t just about the six friends: Spike the little dragon and the princesses of night and day absolutely deserve a spot on our pegboards too.

Spike, the loyal dragon assistant

Always ready to lend a hand (or a claw), Spike beads up nicely in purple and green, with tiny golden scales down his back. A compact design, perfect turned into a keychain.

Princess Luna

The guardian of the night, with her starry, midnight-blue mane, adds a slightly more mysterious touch to the collection. A fun blue-gradient challenge for kids who love night-time colours.

Once your ponies are done, why not arrange them into a lovely wall display? I fell for this idea of grouping several finished pieces inside one frame – a great project to keep building on throughout the holidays, one pony at a time.
