With its long curving neck and its silhouette balanced on a single leg, the flamingo is one of my favorite fuse bead designs! Read the grid from top to bottom: start with the head and its small curved black beak, then follow the neck as it winds down to the body before finishing with the thin leg that holds it all up.
Since the neck is quite narrow, fuse your beads one by one following the curve rather than row by row — that’s what gives the design its sense of movement. The body is wider and fills in quickly, with a touch of light pink to suggest the wing feathers.
Once ironed, this elegant flamingo makes a lovely hanging decoration near a window, bringing a colorful, exotic touch to your home all year round, not just in summer!
