With this very long weekend, we took the opportunity to put together a little selection that deliciously evokes Japan. We have no doubt you’ll find the common thread linking all the characters featured in this piece. And yes, Chihiro, Totoro and Kiki the Little Witch are all children of the great creator Miyazaki. We love his dreamlike universe, packed with mythological creatures, often close to nature and full of benevolence.
My Neighbor Totoro
A true mascot of the Ghibli studio , we had no choice but to introduce him at the outset of this article.
Thanks to Wememade who offers us blue and gray Totoro templates. These free templates will help create a lovely manga atmosphere in your children’s room.

A little Totoro in white, how about it. It’s on the site little market

Hang an elegant Totoro on your door Kandippaterns

Still in the accessories category, hats off to the creator of this clock which represents the spirit of the animated film so well!

Since My Neighbor Totoro loves little outdoor strolls, we found a lovely “natural” creation for you on Deviantart

Kiki’s Delivery Service
What child doesn’t have a soft spot for the animated film “Kiki’s Delivery Service”! It’s obvious—everyone loves this witch with the charming smile and express delivery service. And then there’s her big-eyed cat, Jiji. It’s up to you to make your choice (or not!)
We start with Jiji and this terribly meow-worthy pair of earrings! Source : Etsy

She’s recognizable by the big red bow tied in her voluminous hair. Have fun making her as a mini doll and also in a more complete version with her friend and her cat Jiji.

Spirited Away
Chihiro
It’s no doubt the most complex film, and also the most populated with creatures. We begin this selection with a terribly endearing Chihiro mini doll:

Here’s a bookmark that will promise you many fine hours of reading. It’s on Friendship bracelets that we found it.

Princess Mononoke
And we finish this feature with a film for older viewers: Princess Mononoke. A true ecological fable, this film was a worldwide success. We had to wrap up in style!

Kodama, the tree spirit, delivers the final note of this feature.

As always, we wish you to “bead” with enthusiasm and creativity! See you soon!
