Today we’re taking you into a most fanciful kingdom, populated by a bloodthirsty queen, a hurried rabbit, a purple cat, and a smoking caterpillar. This universe, which we owe to Lewis Caroll, has been revisited many times. We naturally remember the famous film Alice in Wonderland initiated in 1949 by Walt Disney, then the more recent installment by Tim Burton with all the exuberance we know from the director. Variations on the theme of Alice in Wonderland are therefore legion. That’s why it was almost impossible for so many colorful patterns and characters to slip through the net of Hama beads.
Alice in the land of Hama beads
Let’s start with the main character: Alice. We found lots of material, so we figured she deserved her own chapter.
Here’s a full-length pattern that won’t take hours of work. Get your beads ready! Source: Kandipattern

Rounder and shaped like a little doll, we’re smitten with this model from the site EBay

Another favorite is this Alice with mischievous eyes, a bit baby-doll 😉

More in line with the classic animated film, this creation will undoubtedly remind you of the moment when she’s about to drift off to sleep.

At Sweet baby desi, you can make this pattern, certainly more schematic than the others but still accessible to the youngest.
The Cheshire Cat
Because we love these colors and because it lends itself to so many graphic interpretations, here’s a range of possible shapes to create around the Cheshire Cat. Simply delightful!
On the site Deviantart Geekyassassin31 put on a big smile and set about making this very exciting model!

Niniloom offers a square grid that could perfectly serve as a bookmark.

This is our absolute favorite: we love its shape, its “diamond enamel” smile and its coat—and that’s thanks to Stickaz!

The wicked Queen of Hearts
Even if she proves merciless, we dare to devote part of this feature to her. Visually, one could almost appreciate her with this model straight from the site Nacaranta

With a smile, we won’t spoil the pleasure of sharing her with you. Source: Fabinharbordados

And since we always like to offer more accessible models, here’s one found on the site Loomcenterblog
The rabbit with the faulty clock
In a hurry, always in a hurry, slow this rabbit down in his race against time and assemble him piece by piece with Hama Midi fuse beads. Source Deviant art

We particularly like this rabbit grid which, despite its simplicity, unambiguously evokes the rabbit with his favorite accessory: his watch.

The Mad Hatter
Come have tea with the mad crowd, with the eccentric hatter.

Family portraits
And to conclude, we’re offering several grids bringing together the key elements and characters of this fantastic tale. A very beautiful way to retell the adventures of sweet Alice.

A key, a drink-me bottle, an ace of hearts, one of clubs and one of spades will make you want to celebrate an unbirthday thanks to the teapot motif and the ever-present Mad Hatter. Source: Cloudsfactory

We also really like this highly graphic interpretation in red and black from the site Doityourfreakingself

For once, we’re giving you the references for mini-doll patterns for even more fun. Source kandipattern

This version picked from Duitang is undoubtedly our modern favorite adaptation. You can find the hatter drawn as he’s portrayed by Johnny Deep in the recent animated film.

Family portraits don’t stop there, and that’s to our great delight. Find on the Instagram account Senapapa beads a tsum tsum version of Alice in Wonderland.

We wrap up with a creation that we totally fell for! This birthday card is downright bursting with imagination. We love the colors, the references, and its restraint. Kudos to Pixelartshop for this brilliant idea !

And it’s with this Bottle Kandipattern that we close the loop. Will you dare drink a little of this magic potion?
