Kirby Fuse Beads: 12+ Round-and-Cute Designs to Bead the Little Pink Puffball

Hi, it’s Léa! There’s one character everyone in my craft room agrees on, from the littlest ones to the big kids (myself included): Kirby, Nintendo’s hungry little pink puffball. And honestly, it’s hard to imagine a better subject for fuse beads — a perfectly round shape, just a few colours and two big eyes. It’s practically made for the pegboard! Today I’ve rounded up more than 12 designs I spotted here and there, from a super-simple Kirby for beginners to his most loveable friends. Grab your pink beads and let’s go.

The classic Kirby: where to start

If this is your very first Kirby, start with the basic version: a big pink circle, two slightly darker cheeks, two oval eyes and his little red feet. It’s a perfect design for kids — it’s done in about ten minutes and the result is instantly recognisable.

Fancy a retro vibe? The 8-bit Kirby brings back that blocky sprite from the early Game Boy games. It’s the kind of chart I love: not many beads, an unapologetically pixelated look, and hey presto — a little hint of vintage gaming.

And if you’d rather follow a grid square by square, this one reads just like a cross-stitch chart: one square = one bead. Drop the right colour on each peg and Kirby appears all by himself. It’s my favourite method for kids who love to ‘colour in’ as they go.

Kirby in every form: the copy abilities

What I love about Kirby is that he changes his look with every power he swallows — endless variety without ever getting bored! Our home favourite is Cook Kirby in his big pot: the orange and yellow flames make for a really colourful design, ideal for using up your warm-toned leftovers.

In the same tasty spirit, this chef Kirby with his hat and frying pan is super cute, and he stays small: perfect as a keyring or a fridge magnet.

And for a Kirby ‘in action’, this nice round design does the job beautifully: keep the base colours and just take care with the dark outline so the silhouette really pops once it’s ironed.

The whole gang: Waddle Dee, King Dedede and Meta Knight

Kirby wouldn’t be Kirby without his little crew! King Dedede, the big blue fellow with the hefty build, is a total change from all those pink curves and adds a lovely splash of colour to your collection.

There’s also Meta Knight and his mask, a real fan favourite, plus an adorable sleeping Kirby on his crescent moon. These designs are a little bigger, so I’d suggest counting your rows carefully before you start, to make sure you don’t run out of room on the board.

And for lovers of tiny formats, this sweet collection of mini Kirbys (with a shy little Waddle Dee) is ideal: lots of quick little pieces, perfect for a rainy afternoon with friends or family.

Kirby and his star: beaded daydreams
