I love this checkered heart: the geometric pattern gives it a graphic look that’s a nice change from a plain solid heart. On the grid, red and cream squares alternate in little two-by-two blocks, with a burgundy outline drawing out the shape, and a soft light-pink edge along the top of the two humps for a touch of sweetness.
