Tulips are the flower that tells me spring has arrived in my garden, so I wanted to keep one around all year with fuse beads! I drew the petals in soft mauve with a darker shade at the tips for a bit of depth, set on a straight stem with two leaves branching off diagonally. To place your pattern, one square equals one bead: start with the stem in the centre, add the leaves on each side, then work your way up to the petals. Studio tip: keep that stem nice and symmetrical while ironing, and make sure your baking paper lies completely flat, or your tulip might end up leaning! Once it’s finished, this tulip makes lovely decor to hang near a window, or a cute bookmark once laminated.
