The 2026 World Cup left its mark on our house : cheers in front of the telly, a ball rolling permanently down the hallway… and a serious urge to recreate the whole thing in beads ! So I dug out the pegboards and put together a big sporty selection to keep the party going. Mascots, the trophy, jerseys, club crests and even a little detour through other sports—there’s enough here to keep the whole crew busy, from the littlest ones to the most die-hard fans.
Here’s the good news : sport is basically ready-made pixel art. Simple shapes, bold colours, geometric logos… fuse beads love all of that. Grab your beads—it’s kick-off time.
The 2026 World Cup mascots
There’s really no other way to start than with the dream trio ! For this edition shared across three host countries, the tournament gave itself three mascots, one per nation. They’re colourful, round and full of pep—in other words, perfect candidates for your bead library.
We kick off with Clutch, the eagle from the United States. With his jersey and a ball tucked under his arm, he’s a lovely project for kids who are a little more confident : he needs a fair few beads, but the finished look really pays off.

Next comes Maple, the moose from Canada. His big antlers are a real treat to bead and give him an irresistible look—lots of character for surprisingly few colours.

And to complete the squad, meet Zayu, the jaguar from Mexico, all energy and warm colours. My little tip : keep your oranges and browns close by, you’re going to need them !

The trophy, the flags and the national jerseys
After the mascots, on to the symbols of the tournament. The World Cup trophy beaded over the big « 26 » of the year is THE showpiece design—perfect to display proudly in a bedroom once the final whistle has blown.

Fancy a group project ? Start a collection of tiny national flags. Each one is small and quick, and you can share the work : one flag per person, and before you know it you’ve filled a lovely garland in the colours of the whole world.

In the same spirit, the national team jerseys are a joy to riff on. Pick your country, your stripes, your colours, and make it your own : it’s simple, rewarding, and always makes you want to bead a second one.

On the pitch : ball, stadium and jersey
Now let’s step onto the grass ! The black-and-white little soccer ball is the go-to design for beginners : a handful of beads, a really simple motif, and the youngest crafters have their very first win in their hands.

To take it further, try the football pitch with its white lines on green grass. A great way to practise large single-colour areas—and the ideal base to play your other creations on top.

And because a true supporter wears their team’s colours, here’s a customisable jersey to remix endlessly. Yours, your club’s, your country’s… over to you !

Your favourite clubs
After the national teams, it’s time to back your club ! Crests are perfect in beads : crisp logos, colours you spot at a glance. For Paris fans, the PSG crest always makes an impression.

Serie A fans ? The Inter Milan badge, with its black and blue stripes, lends itself beautifully to the exercise.

And we couldn’t skip the French league : the Saint-Etienne Greens bring a lovely splash of green to the collection. Then it’s up to you to add your own club of choice !

How about a change of sport ?
Football is great, but sport doesn’t stop there ! The orange basketball, with its black lines, is a round, satisfying design—ideal for practising curves.

For something tiny, the ping-pong paddle and ball come together in a flash—perfect for a quick craft session on a rainy day.

The Olympic rings are a wonderful excuse to bring out the five colours and talk about the whole world with the kids. Simple, graphic, universal.

And for the strategists in the house, why not some chess pieces ? The game of the mind has its place on our pegboards too, and the black-and-white contrast looks especially good.

Over to you !
That’s plenty to keep the World Cup mood alive long after the final whistle ! Whether you’re more of a mascots, crests or Olympic-rings person, the main thing is to have fun and bead together as a family. If the pixel bug bites again, take a look at our retro video game designs, or our back-to-school bead ideas to pimp the backpack.
