With its checkerboard of warm and light brown quills and its pointy little snout, this hedgehog makes the sweetest square-pegboard project. Start with the beige body, then build the quills by alternating the two brown shades column by column, that’s what gives the whole design its texture, even though it’s still a simple one-peg-at-a-time pattern to follow. The black snout and eye close off the face and give our little ball of spikes its curious expression right away.
Iron it flat on both sides before peeling it off the pegboard, since the quills are the most delicate part of the design. Once it’s done, it makes an adorable fridge magnet or a sweet little shelf decoration for a kid’s room, and it also works nicely as a keychain if you’d rather take it along with you.
