Nothing brightens up a shelf or a window like a cheerful rainbow! This grid is built from concentric bands, from red on the outside down to purple at the centre, sitting on a white background that covers the whole square pegboard, that background is what forms the two little clouds at each end of the arc. It’s a great pattern for practising how to follow a grid without mixing up a band, and kids love watching it take shape peg by peg.
Just be sure to keep the colour order from the pattern, since that’s what makes the rainbow instantly recognisable. Once ironed, it hangs beautifully in a window to catch the light, or sits as a sweet decoration on a kid’s desk. A timeless classic, and a lovely first project for beginners too.
