Hi, it’s Léa! In our house, the moment a round little face with a red bow shows up, everyone wants to grab the beads. Hello Kitty, My Melody, Kuromi… the whole Sanrio world is a joy to make with fuse beads: simple shapes, bold colours, and that kawaii charm that wins over kids and grown-ups alike. I’ve gathered more than ten designs spotted on my crafty wanderings, plus two little homemade grids you can follow bead by bead. Get comfy — let’s sort the pink beads!
Hello Kitty, the star with a thousand outfits
She’s the queen of the show, and the best part is you never tire of her: just swap her outfit or a tiny accessory and you’ve got a brand-new design. Start with the classic version — it’s perfect for warming up before you try the variations.

See how readable the grid stays? One white square, one white bead; the black outline goes on last and instantly gives the face its character.
My Melody and Kuromi: the best of frenemies
You can’t talk Sanrio without this beloved duo. My Melody and her pink hood play the sweet card, while Kuromi owns her cheeky streak. My kids fight over who gets to make which one — we always end up making two of each!

The stand-up version takes a little patience (you assemble several ironed panels), but the pride when it stands on its own is worth it! If you love this soft style, take a peek at my too-cute animals in fuse beads — they look great together on a shelf.
The whole Sanrio gang at a glance
Cinnamoroll, Pompompurin, Keroppi, the Little Twin Stars… the entire crew is game. For inspiration, nothing beats a nice sheet of patterns beside you: pick a colour, pick a character, and off you go.

Looking for more adorable faces? My little Disney princesses in Hama beads keep Hello Kitty great company.
Your turn: two homemade grids to follow
To finish, here are two little grids I made just for you, nice and simple: one square = one bead, and the checkerboard background is only there to help you count. Perfect for a first go!

The red bow takes five minutes and sticks everywhere: on a headband, a fridge magnet, a bookmark. The star works in every pastel colour in your box.
So, shall we get started?
That’s plenty to fill a rainy afternoon! Pick one or two designs, grab your pink, red and black beads, and let the Sanrio magic happen. Send me your makes — I love watching your little Hello Kitties come to life… and above all, have fun! See you very soon, Léa.
