Feel that first crisp bite in the morning air? Around here that means one thing: the pegboards and bead tubs come back out and we hunker down indoors. Autumn is hands-down my favourite crafting season — warm colours, the cutest little designs, and the perfect excuse to stay cosy while it rains outside. I’ve gathered 10+ autumn fuse bead designs for you, found here and there and tried out at home. Grab a hot chocolate and let’s get melting!
Nature’s little treasures: leaves, acorns and apples
The first autumn walk is always a treasure hunt: golden leaves, acorns, a few windfall apples. They make perfect beginner motifs — round, simple and full of warm colour. These three come together in just a few minutes, even for the littlest crafters.

The little woodland folk
You can’t do autumn without the forest animals! The squirrel stashing acorns and the big-eyed owl are the stars of the season. The little squirrel below even stands up on its own — lovely as a shelf decoration.

Fancy a step-by-step? This short video shows how to make an autumn mushroom and hedgehog — great to watch with the kids before you start.
Under the leaves: a parade of mushrooms
The toadstool is the ultimate autumn comfort motif: that sweet shape and the white spots on a red cap win everyone over. From the simplest design to a whole little scene, there’s something for every level — line a few up and you’ve got a proper woodland picture.

And because I love slipping you a make-it-yourself design, here’s a little pattern to follow that I put together: a simple mushroom, one square = one bead. Pop the grid next to your pegboard and copy it bead by bead.

Pumpkins: autumn is already drifting towards Halloween
October means pumpkins! We start gently with sweet, colourful designs before tipping over into Halloween. The little treat bucket is my favourite — the kids love putting it to use once evening falls.

Holding on to the cosy: sunflower and hot drinks
Before the cold truly sets in, we keep a bit of sunshine with a bright sunflower, then warm up with a steaming mug of cocoa or cider. Two gentle designs to finish on a high.
