Here’s a real fuse bead classic: the red mushroom with white spots, the kind you love spotting on a forest walk (and never actually pick!). Start with the cap, row by row, placing the white spots right in the middle of the red areas. The cream stem comes next, straight down under the cap — a nice little exercise in lining up two parts of the same design.

Since the pattern is fairly compact, a small square pegboard is plenty, and it irons up in no time. This is honestly the design I’d recommend for starting out with kids: few colors, clean shapes, and an instant sense of satisfaction once it’s sitting on a shelf or hung up as a bit of autumn decor.
