Today’s pattern is a sweet, simple banana – a lovely one to start with if you’re fairly new to fuse beads! Each square on the grid is one bead: just follow the colors from the bottom up and the shape builds itself. I added a soft highlight running along the fruit for a bit of depth, plus two little brown touches at the tips for the stem and the end – the details that make it instantly recognizable. Before you iron, double-check every peg is filled with no gaps; that’s really the secret to a crisp result. Once it’s ironed on both sides, this little banana makes the cutest fridge magnet, or you can string a few onto a fruity garland. A quick, fun project to make with the kids on a rainy afternoon.
