This week I’m taking you on a little adventure away from the usual flowers and cupcakes! Between the open sea, a quick stop in Paris and a dash of team spirit, I’ve put together my favourite patterns of the moment. Plenty to keep the kids busy for a whole afternoon, board after board.
What I love about this selection is the mix of levels: some patterns come together in half an hour with the littlest crafters, while others call for a bit more patience and focus — perfect for budding beaders looking for a challenge. As always, every pattern comes with its exact colour list and an estimated beading time, so you can pick the right one for however much time you’ve got this afternoon.
Out to sea: lighthouse, sailboat and friends
Let’s start with my absolute favourite this week: a little red-and-white striped lighthouse, perched on its rock by a deep navy sea. The kind of pattern that makes you want to set sail straight from the kitchen table.
Little Lighthouse

Little Lighthouse
A rounded little lighthouse that fits on one square pegboard — the perfect tiny coastal guardian for your desk.
To go with it, a simple little sailboat joins a colourful tropical fish and a bright parrot with a proper buccaneer spirit.
Sailboat, fish and parrot

Little Sailboat
A cheerful little sailboat with a white mainsail and a red jib, riding light blue waves.

Rainbow Tropical Fish
A fish built from rainbow stripes, ready to bring a splash of ocean to your pegboard.

Colorful Parrot
A bright, colorful parrot perched on its branch for a lively square pegboard pattern.
For inspiration, I really loved the beaded lighthouse spotted over at CindyDeRosier.com (thank you for the lovely share) — a different take on the motif, with a nicely rounded lantern room.
A stop in Paris: the Eiffel Tower
Next, we head to the French capital with a stylised Eiffel Tower, all brown lattice against a light blue sky. A perfect pattern to get ready for a family trip, or simply to dream of a Parisian weekend from your living room. If landmarks are your thing, I already beaded a whole trip around the world you can check out here.

The iron lady in fuse beads, built on one square pegboard for a little taste of Paris at home.
Team spirit: the football
With sports season in full swing, I couldn’t skip the classic black-and-white football. Its central pentagon and neatly symmetrical points make it a satisfying one to bead, and a perfect keyring for a sports bag.

The classic black-and-white football in fuse beads, ready to cheer on your favourite team.
Hoist the flag: all hands on deck!
And to finish in style, a little buccaneer adventure with this black skull-and-crossbones flag — no particular character involved, just classic pirate spirit. If your kids are pirate-mad, I already put together a whole pirate-themed selection not long ago.

One little workshop tip before you start: sort all your beads by colour into small dishes or a compartment box before you begin. It sounds simple, but it makes a world of difference when you’re beading with impatient little ones who can’t wait to see the pattern take shape! And as with all our patterns, feel free to swap in whatever shades you have on hand — the result will still turn out beautifully.
So, which course will you set first: the sea, Paris, the stadium or the seven seas? Let me know in the comments, and happy ironing!
