The daisy has always felt like the quintessential garden-childhood flower to me — the one you’d pluck petal by petal, whispering a little rhyme. Here I’m recreating it in fuse beads, with eight round white petals wrapped around a bright golden heart.
Reading the grid is simple: one square equals one bead, placed on your pegboard in the colour shown in the legend. I like to start with the heart and the stem, right in the middle, then work the petals one by one around it — it keeps you from losing your place.
When ironing, go gently with small circular motions: the flower holds together as a single piece, but the petal tips are slim and deserve a careful pass. Once it’s done, it makes an adorable fridge magnet or a sweet little hanging decoration for a kid’s room — a lovely project for a family crafting afternoon!
