I love hydrangeas for fuse bead patterns — those clustered little blooms are perfect for playing with shades, from deep blue in the centre out to the palest blue at the edges. Reading the pattern is easy: one square equals one bead, and you just follow the colour bands outward from the middle. Centre your design on the square pegboard before you start so nothing runs off the edge when you iron it. The stem and the two little leaf tufts finish off the look nicely. Hang it as a little piece of wall decor, turn it into a fridge magnet, or just prop it up as is — this hydrangea always gets noticed.
