I love the contrast in this anemone: perfectly round petals shading from deep purple to soft lilac, opening around a dark heart flecked with golden yellow. It’s a very forgiving flower for beginners, since each petal is simply a circle to fill in, bead by bead! To read the pattern, spot the dark centre first, then build the petals around it, alternating the two shades of purple to bring out the depth. I’d suggest a classic square pegboard, and a light touch with the iron so those little colour highlights stay crisp. Once it’s done, it looks gorgeous hanging in a window or slipped into a pretty frame. A beginner-friendly project, perfect for about three quarters of an hour of creative time.
