Frozen Fuse Beads: 12+ Icy Designs to Bead Elsa, Anna and Olaf With the Kids

Some films you can put on a hundred times and never tire of — and Frozen is absolutely one of them in our house. So when my eldest asked for « an Elsa made of beads, Mummy », I knew exactly how our afternoon was going to go — and I couldn’t wait. Today I’m whisking you off to Arendelle with a selection of more than a dozen icy designs to recreate with fuse beads : easy little figures for tiny hands, more detailed grids for seasoned beaders, and even two homemade grids I’ve drawn up just for you. Grab your blues and whites — let’s get beading !

Elsa, the snow queen herself

There’s really no other place to start than with our queen. Elsa is a joy in fuse beads : her long braid, her icy-blue gown and those silvery shimmers make for gorgeous, glowing pieces. Start with a gentle little figure laid flat, then work your way up to the bigger versions.

Anna, the warm heart of Arendelle

You can’t make Elsa without her sister ! Anna brings all the warm tones that balance out the selection : her auburn hair with its white streak, her cape and those cosy autumn colours. Here are three ways to bead her, from the quickest to the most involved.

To round off your icy workshop, I’ve drawn up two mini homemade grids, super easy to read (one square = one bead). Perfect for the youngest crafters, for dressing up a gift wrap, or as a little breather between two big projects.
