With Halloween just around the corner, my craft table currently looks like a tiny witch’s den! I have gathered my whole current collection here, fourteen fuse bead patterns to turn your pegboards into pumpkins, ghosts and black cats before October 31. Whether you are decorating the house, keeping the kids busy during the break, or just looking for an excuse to dig out your orange and black beads, you will find something here.

As for difficulty, most of these patterns are beginner-friendly, which makes them great for kids too. Only the cauldron and the haunted house need a bit more patience, since they juggle more colors on the same board.

As for supplies, most of these patterns fit nicely on a classic square pegboard, though a round one works fine for several of them too. My tip before you start: sort your orange, black, white and green beads into small bowls ahead of time, it saves you from digging through the boxes mid-project. If your kids want to join in, simpler patterns like the pumpkin or the ghost are perfect for beginners.

Witches, black cats and bubbling potions

We start gently with the witchy side of things. My brand-new broom opens the show, joined by a pointy witch hat and a cauldron that almost looks like it is really bubbling once you pick the right colors. Then there is the black cat, always good for a little bit of bad luck, and the potion bottle I love turning into a keychain for friends.

Ghosts, skeletons and sweet treats

Next comes the slightly spookier side: a mischievous ghost, a goofy skeleton and a skull that is more of a grin than a scare. For something sweet, the candy corn is a yearly classic for me, and the haunted house remains my favorite to hang by the front door to greet trick-or-treaters.

Spiders, webs and pumpkins

No Halloween list is complete without the classics: a spider and its web, a bat with wide-open wings, and of course the pumpkin, queen of the season. These four look fantastic together on one assembled board if you fancy a big piece for the wall.

My tips for decorations that last

To make your Halloween decorations last, I recommend ironing both sides of your pegboards, especially if you plan to hang them in a window, since daylight will shine through the beads much better. It also helps to vary the shades of orange and black slightly from one pattern to the next, so a garland does not look too flat. If you own assemblable square boards, try combining a few small patterns into one big wall piece.

So, which pattern from this collection is your favorite? Time to get your boards ready, the big night is only a few days away!
